Hi, I'm Verna Lum, owner and operator of VL Equine Optimal Performance.

 

I have been an avid horse person and runner for over 40 years, finishing 16 marathons and winning 2 internationally. I have won National Championships at the Canadian National Championship Show in Calgary, Alberta in Hunter Under Saddle, Hunt Seat Equitation and Showmanship, as well as top 10 finisher in Novice Amateur Hunter Under Saddle at the Congress All American Quarter Horse Show (1st time at this show).

I studied at the University of British Columbia, majoring in Nutrition and acquired my Equine Sport Massage Certification in 2015.  I have 2 Border Collies (Chynna and Jorja) and 2 rescued King Charles Cavalier Spaniels (Montee and Belle) and 2 Hunt Seat Horses, Beamer and Walter.
