Achieve a Shiny Coat for Your Dog: The Benefits of Regular Grooming and Nutrition

Updated: Oct 20

Keep your furry friend looking and feeling fabulous with regular grooming!

Grooming is important for maintaining circulation and removing dirt and dead skin cells. Long-haired dogs should be brushed daily, which will also help reduce matting.

However, good old-fashioned elbow grease is just part of the equation — good nutrition is key to a truly radiant coat! Make sure your pup is getting the right balance of nutrients to support a healthy, shiny coat and vibrant energy.

A balanced diet of protein, fats, and carbohydrates is important, but specific amino acids such as methionine (for strong hair or keratin fibers) and tyrosine (for improved colour pigmentation), chelated trace minerals (for improved absorption and utilization), as well as essential fatty acids like Omega 3 and Omega 6 are all crucial for coat health and gloss!
